My parents love to watch the FOOD Network every weekend, that was when I heard about Ace of Cakes. I was already going through a cupcake phase but I was looking to upgrade. When Mervyn’s was closing I saw the KitchenAid stand mixer which was $419 going for $219 and I cashed out right there. I looked up some techniques and even youtubed some shit then I went in on my FIRST Jordan cake, the Grape V’s.

LOL I posted it on NIKETALK and it was brutal.. those of you who post regularly know what I’m talking about. I had an itch to PERFECT it so I went in AGAIN…

And so… I felt I was getting it down. The first request was for my BEST friends birthday. I started with a stiletto but it wasn’t detailed enough. So I quickly whipped up the Jordan Fire Red III’s & red velvet.

It was a success! Afterwards I just baked regular cakes and cheesecakes for a while. I’m a full time student at USF and I work on the weekends so I have little or no time to myself. I attempted to make 2 shoe cakes in one week + school + work = a disaster. I got really, really sick with the flu but I still made the cakes even though I was dying. I made the Old Love, New Love 1s.

I am dying to try to make the Jordan Flint XIII’s but I have no time. I have been put in charge to make the cake for my aunt’s baby shower coming up and I have to because I’m going to be a godmother (sigh) so we’ll see what happens then. I do need some ideas.. maybe I’ll make another shoe.. iono but I will keep you all posted.
